Our Story

Rex Burns and his brother started the company in 1984 after seeing a void in the quality of small, family-based commercial contracting. Rex was willing to take on the bigger projects. With Rex still well in charge of things at the shop, he is now joined by his sons, Clint and Brent Burns.

Headquartered in Kansas City, Kansas, Burns Boys Co. averages a permanent workforce of 35–60 employees. Our union affiliation enables us to expand our labor force as needed to meet the scope of any project. Clients continue to rely on our proven expertise and professional approach across all phases of construction.
